Always when I come back from a few days visiting my family and old friends I have back home, I realize [again] that there’s nothing like having a circle of women in your life.

 
Women friends are like flowers and Band-Aids, they are indispensible. Thank God and the Goddess for Women friends. They bless our lives.

 
So here they are:

Women friends keep…
…your children and your secrets. They give you advice when you ask for it. Sometimes you take it, sometimes you don’t…

Women friends tell the truth
Women friends don’t always tell you you’re right, but they’re usually honest. And they still love you, even when they don’t agree with your choices.

Women friends laugh with you
…and you don’t need canned jokes to start the laughter. They cry with you too.

Women friends don’t keep a calendar
Women friends don’t keep a calendar that tells them who hosted the other last and who phoned whom and when. They seek the pleasure of your company, no matter who “owes” whom.

And if they keep a calander…
…they even might send you a birthday card, or they might not. It doesn’t matter.

Women friends are there
Women friends are there for you, in an instant and truly, when the hard times come. They listen when you lose a job, or a husband. When your children break your heart or your parents’ minds and bodies fail. They are there to pull you out of jams, and out of your jeans, if and when required.

Women friends throw parties
Women friends throw you a surprise party. Or they give a party for your son or daughter when they get married or have a baby, in whichever order that comes!
