#121 Today

I activate my creativity
Our intentions create our thoughts, our words, and our actions. Ultimately, we are what we feel, what we say, and what we express. How you express yourself is unique and powerful and that expression shapes your reality. That expression creates your reality. When you hold back the full expression of your creativity, you limit the richness of what life has in store for you. When you express the truth of who you are, you open up a flow of freedom, inspiration and boldness that creates its own momentum. When you begin to give voice to your dreams, you begin to take a step closer to actualizing them. When you express who you are, your reality becomes more resonant, more vivid, more vibrant.

#122 Today

I release all worry
Think back over all the things that you worried about, anguished over, and ruminated upon for days. If you could reclaim all of the energy and time expended trying to out-think a problem, anticipate potential negative outcomes, and control situations, you probably could have written ten novels and traveled the world. And in the end nothing was so bad that you couldn’t handle it. Everything, even the bad things, were manageable. The truth is, everything will be OK most of the time. And when it wasn’t in the past, you’ve been able to handle it. Allow yourself to fall backward and let the universe catch you. Release control. You don’t have to work so hard — life happens naturally.

#123 Today

I trust that everything comes at a perfect time
Do you recognize that feeling that things aren’t happening fast enough? That with all you are doing, intending, and putting out there more should be happening, and faster? Really? Should things really be happening faster? Or are you exactly where you’re supposed to be? Trust in the perfection of your life and let yourself be fully where you are in the moment. Trust that you are exactly where you are supposed to be. Know that what you have to look forward to is greater than what you are leaving behind. Trust that that everything comes at a perfect time and in the perfect way.

#124 Today

my true self is light
Light is around us and within us. Light is our guide on the path toward self-realization. Light is what triggers us to wake every morning, allowing us to see. . . dissipating the darkness and shadows. Have you ever seen yourself as an expression of pure light? For most people, it’s a strange idea. One that hardly seems to apply to the hard realities of daily life. But we have all had glimpses of those moments of joy when you feel life flowing through you in a way that it felt so blissful as if you had transcended earthly experience. That is your true essence. That is light.

#125 Today

I maintain an attitude of appreciation
Appreciating whatever show up for you in your life really pumps up your vibration. When you see things in the spirit of appreciation and gratitude you can see the beauty in ‘what is’ and not what you are hoping for or interpreting. True transformation begins when you find appreciation for all people, all interactions and all situations that cross your path. When you make the choice to find the gift in even the most difficult situations in your life, you start becoming your own miracle worker.

#126 Today

I have fun!
If you want to have fun, you have to get into the right mindset and embrace every opportunity for a good time. If you’re relaxed and not afraid to be a little silly, then you can have fun almost anywhere. Find a new activity to do [alone or with your friends], dance, hang out with the right people, laugh more or go on an adventure!

#127 Today

motivation catapults me towards my goals
One of the biggest challenges in meeting any goal, whether it’s related to productivity, waking early, changing a habit, exercising or just becoming happier, is finding the motivation to stick with it. Motivation is key, but it’s not alway easy, day in and day out, to find that motivation. How to stay motivated? Find inspiration, focus on one goal, call for help if needed, realize that there is an ebb and a flow and, last but not least, squash all negative thoughts!

#128 Today

I am all that I can be
‘I am only me. That is all I can be. No more, no less. Don’t second guess. I love, I live, I laugh, I cry. Some day’s I am funny, others I am not. Sometimes I am in overdrive and I can’t stop. You may not like me, but that is okay. Because this is me and how I will stay’ ~Unknown

#129 Today

I release all thoughts of past and future
Thinking about the future or the past, worrying, replaying conversations in your head, stressing out about things that aren’t happening right now, stands in the way of your happiness. Focus on the moment and be present. That is really a miracle cure for unhappiness, stress, worry, depression and everything else. Thinking about the past and future is the cause of all unhappiness!

#130 Today

I leap, knowing that there’s nowhere to fall
Life is too short and far too precious to waste time going through all the safe motions that distract you from what will really brings you joy. In the current world where stimulated ideas, new opportunities, and innovative minds are so openly welcomed, oftentimes the biggest thing standing in your way is you. So take that leap of faith and go do what really brings you joy. At the end of it all, we all have two life lists: All the things we actually did, and all the things we wish happened. Focus on building the first list, starting right here and now.

#131 Today

I am a powerful mind
You may not realize it, but the mind is very powerful. It is unlimited in potential. But yet the average person only uses 10% of the mind, which results in 90% not being used… Imagine what we could do if we used the full capacity our mind. Acknowledging this power and using it beneficially is what will help you take the first step toward realizing your goals. Once you understand the power of your mind you can use it for the purpose it was created for: to give you everything and anything you want in life.

#132 Today

I am here, now
Life unfolds in the present. But so often, we let the present slip away. We’re always doing something, and we allow little time to practice stillness and calm. Our thoughts control us. In order to feel more in control of your mind and your lives, to find the sense of balance, you need to step out of your spiral of thoughts, pause and rest in stillness. Stop doing and focus on just being. Be here, now.

#133 Today

I laugh out loud!
Laughter activates many beneficial chemicals within the body that place us into a very joyous state. Laughter also returns the body to a state of balance. Laughter therapy has been regularly used to heal persons with varied ailments and is a wonderful tonic for life’s ills. While the average 4 year old laughs 500 times a day, the average adult is lucky to laugh 15 times a day. Revitalize the habit of laughter, it will put far more living into your life.

#134 Today

I speak with confidence
Good communication is the key to success, whether you’re speaking in front of a large audience or trying to get a point across to a [new] friend. Believe in yourself, speak slowly and carefully, and have strong convictions about what you’re saying.

#135 Today

I flow with life
‘Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.’ – Lao-Tzu
No matter how much structure we create in our lives, no matter how many good habits we build, there will always be things that we cannot control. And if we let them, these things can be a huge source of anger, frustration and stress. The simple solution: learn to go with the flow. What is going with the flow? It’s rolling with the punches. It’s accepting change without getting angry or frustrated. It’s taking what life gives you, rather than trying to mold life to be exactly as you want it to be.

#136 Today

my energy is focused
Focus on the things that really matter! There will always be distractions that will keep you from achieving your goals. Don’t give in to them. Are you spending time with people who can enhance and enrich your life? What are you doing to take your life to the next level? Remember, if you don’t have an agenda for your life, you are a part of someone else’s agenda.

#137 Today

my energy flows freely and easily
To enhance the energy flowing freely through your body, your body needs to be relaxed. Tension stops the flow. Sometimes tensions result from hard physical work, some are from continuous stress. Be more aware of the fact that you tense muscles that you don’t really need right now [in your face, your shoulders, your back…]. Watch yourself doing it and when you catch yourself tensing an unnecessary muscle, relax it. The energy flows much better through your body and that will probably make you feel happy!

#138 Today

I trust my higher self
Do you trust your ego programmed mind more than your higher self? Do you find it challenging to trust your own higher self? Your higher self is the part of your soul that is all around you. The energy of your soul is way too big to fit inside your body. Part of it is inside and communicates with you through your feelings. The other part is outside and communicates through your mind. We’ve all experienced those hunches. Gut feelings that seem to come from out of the blue, telling us something that doesn’t always appear to be logical. We’ve all experienced moments when we choose to follow that guidance, even if it didn’t make any sense, only to find out, there was a reason why we were guided in that direction. That is your higher self talking. Learn to tap into that knowing part and the flow of your life will be much freer than otherwise possible.

#139 Today

my core is calm, relaxed and peaceful
Do you recognize this: your head is overflowing… too much to think about. Too much to do. And what do you do? You take a breath, a little walk. You touch a tree, or dance around the room. These little activities are just a circuit breakers though. A way to hold your sense of self in this hectic world. Now imagine that you are not your thoughts or your busy list. Imagine and affirm: ‘My core is stable and calm. Thoughts, people and tasks come and go… my core is calm, relaxed and peaceful. I am strong, stable and safe at all times!’ How does that feel?

#140 Today

I have unlimited power
Power is a multi-faceted concept. You experience a sense of power when you feel in control of your life. Power is the ability to achieve goals. It is also the ability to influence others. Considerable power comes from the ability to communicate. Power includes enthusiasm and optimism. Your energy level is related to your power. If you can cause things, if you are the master of your destiny, you have power. Power is related to self-esteem and confidence. The freer you are, the more you tend to experience your power. Above all, personal power is the ability to achieve what you want. More than anything else, it is personal power that brings you success and happiness.

#141 Today

I let go of expectations
Expectations can be a wonderful thing. When you eagerly anticipate what is to come, a birthday celebration, a vacation, or even just a special meal, it definitely creates positive feelings. Expectations can build suspense in the best way possible. However, when you cling to expectations, you can be bitterly disappointed when things don’t work out as expected. Release whatever expectations you have. Be open to possibilities. When things do not go according to plan, look at it as an opportunity to experience something different, to learn something new. Maybe you’ll even have a better experience than what you were expecting. The world is an unpredictable place, embrace it!

#142 Today

I find the extraordinary in the ordinary
Have you ever noticed how the smallest, simplest thing can delight a child? Whether it is a favourite toy, a familiar face, or playing peek-a-boo. When do we lose this childlike joy? Today, look for the joy in the everyday moments. Inhale deeply and smile when your nose registers a familiar smell. Notice the beauty of a single flower, enjoy the sun on your skin. These ordinary experiences can become extraordinary with only a small shift in perspective.

#143 Today

I simplify my words
When you get too caught up in articulating your own point and expressing yourself, the focus becomes more about delivering a message than receiving any feedback. Wordiness is often used out of insecurity, nervousness, or a lack of confidence in your message [thinking, perhaps, that if you stumble along and keep talking, eventually you will hit upon a nugget of something useful]. Make listening your focus instead. Simplify your words, get them out, and then receive back. Look for simplicity in your thoughts and in your words. Ask yourself: Is my message clear? Am I being forthright and honest? Am I getting to the point or beating around the bush? Do my words help or hinder further communication?

#144 Today

I want nothing
Go through the day with no desires, no expectations, no wants. A challenging approach, as your mind will perpetually manifest desires in an attempt to heal past hurts, distract you from an unpleasant situation you are experiencing or satisfy an emotional craving. The truth is, there is very little you actually need outside of the basic physical requirements to stay alive such as oxygen, food and water. If you can be totally present throughout your day, not allowing your inner voice to take you over, you will notice that any desires will be greatly decreased, potentially even absent.

#145 Today

I unplug and reconnect
You probably know someone who is seemingly superglued to an iPhone or iPad. Perhaps you’re also guilty of being this technophile! The tools we use nowadays, our smartphone, tablet, or laptop, connect us with people across the world. However, they can also be barriers to communication with the loved ones sitting right in front of us. Unplug today. Even if it is just for 30 minutes. Get outside in nature. Spend time with a loved one. Find peace in solitude. Whatever it is, create time in your day to reconnect with the reality that is around you.

#146 Today

I sing!
Such a simple idea. It’s hard to not feel happy and calm when you’re singing, especially with this sunny weather and the holidays approaching. Why sing? Sing because it is joyful, sing to find inner peace, sing to bring smiles to others. Sing by yourself, sing with family, sing with friends. Today, everybody sing!

#147 Today

I accept support
You do not have to do it alone. Accept support. Perhaps it comes in the form of a relative making you a meal when you are sick. Accept it gratefully and voice your thanks. Maybe a colleague at work notices your growing ‘to-do’ pile and offers to help. Don’t let pride get in the way and accept this support. When others extend themselves and reach out to you, let them. And be grateful. Appreciate how their support is going to help you and let the gifts into your life.

#148 Today

I celebrate peace
What peace looks like is up to you. Celebrate inner peace by setting aside ten minutes for meditation. Celebrate peace with your friends and family with a loving act of kindness, or reconciling with someone you may be at odds with. Celebrate peace in your day-to-day life by choosing it over stress. Do not succumb to road rage, pick your words for strangers with care and compassion, or take an extra few minutes to help the slow-going elderly woman [instead of getting impatient]. The path of peace might not be instinctive, but it is easier than the stressful path. And not everywhere in the world is fortunate enough to know peace. Embrace the peace that you have and celebrate it, even if only for a moment.

#149 Today

I embrace imperfection
You’re not perfect. And that is okay. Today, embrace the imperfect in the world. Find beauty in the chip in the heirloom vase. Notice the charm of a gap in your teeth. The wall hanging that isn’t quite straight? It’s not perfect, neither are you, and today we encourage you to love that fact. Take note of all the imperfections you see today, and rather than lament them, embrace them.

#150 Today

I do less
Creating a list of priorities can be a stressful task. Remember what is most important to you. Remember that trying to do everything will not bring you serenity or peace. Today, do less – even if it’s just one item less off of your ‘to-do’ list. Go about your day in a slower, more mindful way. Do not rush around with frenzy and anxiety. Accept that you can’t do it all, and that you won’t try. At least not today…

#151 Today

I am kinder to myself
Forgive yourself. Celebrate your accomplishments, even if your failures seem to outnumber them. Look in the mirror and find something to love. If you are a Type A, driven, goal-oriented perfectionist lower your standards, even if just for today. Nurture yourself, do something that is healing for yourself. Take care of yourself emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Yes, you deserve it. All of us deserve kindness and care – especially from and for ourselves.
