#152

Think big
As long as you are going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big. And when you believe what you think… Your mind will find a way to do it!

#153

Go back to the basics: gratitude and love
There’s always something to complain about or to be grateful about, to love or not to love. It’s your choice every single day and moment of your life. Gratitude and love are always multiplied when you give freely.

#154

Seek inner peace
As our society grows more and more complex, finding true peace becomes more like trying to find an oasis in the desert. Learn how to accept what is, meditate, spend time in nature and live in the present moment.

#155

Everything flows, nothing stands still
The river is always flowing trying to find the sea in an eternal flow to meet its destiny. We do the same, always trying to reach our destiny, our desires, our dreams. Enjoy every moment of this infinite process because it is always changing. Nothing stands still.

#156

Happiness is here, now
Happiness is here now, today. Live it. Your dreams and desires are real and alive in this moment. Use this time to follow where they lead. Your unique and priceless journey has brought you now to this point. Happiness and joy and fulfillment are now yours. Live them today in your own special way.

#157

Unclog your mind
A great way to keep your mind sharp and clear is to do things when they need to be done. Tasks which you put off until later, or which you start and then put off finishing, will have the effect of clogging your thoughts. Clear out all those ‘need to dos’ from your thinking by actually getting them done.

#158

Be good to yourself
Do something nice for yourself today. Take time to give yourself a special treat. By being good to yourself, you’ll be much better equipped to deal with whatever difficult situations the world sends your way. On a regular basis, take the opportunity to be good to yourself. And it will spur you on to become the best that you can be.

#159

Accept responsibility for the way things are
Reality check. The world is the way it is, today is the way it is, your situation is the way it is. So what are you going to do about it? Accept responsibility for the way things are, and begin to move forward. Use the moments in this day to build, to create, to improve the future. Here you are in this world, this world that is undeniably the way it is. You can do nothing to change what you’ve got, yet you can do everything to vastly improve what you get.

#160

Decide
Take a good look, today and every day, at your hopes, your desires, your vision for how life can be, and decide what to do with it all. Truly decide that it will happen, and it will.

#161

The odds do not matter
If you desire to achieve success, the odds are against you. Outstanding success is exceptional and difficult to achieve. But the odds don’t matter. There really are no odds, as such. There are only results. You have every opportunity to make your own results. Your results are not determined by statistical percentages. They are determined by your own action and commitment.

#162

Forgiveness is the key to freedom
Would you rather be right or would you rather be happy? We all have opinions on who was right and who was wrong according to our own perceptions. We can all find ways to justify our feelings. And we are the ones running the story over and over in our own minds. It is foolish to punish yourself in the present because someone hurt you in the past. To release the past,be willing to forgive, even if you don’t know how. Forgiveness means giving up your hurtful feelings and just letting the whole thing go.

#163

Direct your thoughts
You attract what you are willing to accept. And you are willing to accept that with which you are the most familiar. You are the most familiar with the things upon which you focus the energy of your thoughts. So where are you directing those thoughts in this moment? Are your thoughts filled with worry or with eager anticipation for the good?

#164

Stop the hamster wheel
Have you ever stopped to think about the sheer number of thoughts that go through your head every day? Thousands and thousands of thoughts. All day, every day. A lot of this thinking is unnecessary… and exhausting! That’s why it’s highly beneficial to create ‘no-mind’-moments. Moments when you’re not thinking about anything, when you’re simply being. Meditation is a great tool to develop this skill.

#165

Be who you really are
Often people attempt to live their lives backwards: they try to have more things or more money, in order to do more of what they want so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. First be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want.

#166

Keep at it
It always seems impossible until it is done. Just keep at it and you will reach your goals.

#167

You are good enough
It doesn’t matter what anyone says or how you were treated in the past, there are a ton of reasons you are good enough and you are worth it! Sometimes our inner critic completely tears apart our self-esteem until there is nothing more to do to do except eat ice cream, watch daytime television, and sleep. Well, it is time to move on and start anew. Wash away your insecurities because you are worth it and you are good enough.

#168

Take the opportunity
Take the opportunities that life will give you today. Take the opportunity to be honest and keep yourself aligned with the power of truth. Take the opportunity to be compassionate. Make a difference in the lives of others. Take the opportunity to act with discipline and focus, and enjoy the fruits of being highly effective in whatever you do. Take the opportunities to learn, to achieve, to enjoy, to reflect, to share, to listen, to understand and to love. Embrace each opportunity that comes your way with gratitude, enthusiasm and a sense of positive purpose.

#169

Be your own best companion
Choose yourself as your primary companion through life. Other people may come and go, but you are always here.

#170

Create a magnificent day
Every night, before you go to sleep, give sincere thanks for the day. Then intend the next day to be joyous, effortless and wonderful. On waking in the morning confirm your intention that your day will be magnificent! If you don’t intend your day in advance, you are handing it over to the whims and energies of today’s mad world. Don’t put your day in the hands of others. Create your own magnificent day!

#171

Focus your efforts
There are a thousand things a day demanding your attention, but you can only really devote yourself to one at a time. Focus your efforts! Enjoy the satisfaction that comes from peaceful, focused effort. Enjoy the level of accomplishment that you can achieve when all your energy is flowing in the same direction. Calm down, stay focused, and you’ll be much more effective at getting it all done.

#172

You determine your thoughts
As you move through this day, make it a point to replace troubled thoughts with thoughts of peace. Replace thoughts of weakness with thoughts of strength. Replace thoughts of limitation with thoughts of possibility. Replace thoughts of anger with thoughts of compassion. Your thoughts determine what you decide to do with all that you have. And you determine your thoughts.

#173

Life is worth it
Life is not easy, but it’s worth it. If you expect it to be easy, you will disappoint yourself. Achieving anything worthwhile takes effort. So start every day ready to run farther than you did yesterday. Align your efforts with your goals. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it in the end.

#174

Listen to your heart
Many times we fail to listen to what our heart is saying to us. Take time to analyze what you hear from your heart. Then decide if those things are worth going after. Take a chance on you!

#175

Let go of all expectations
When you let go of all ideas of what should or should not happen, you let go of the frustration, anger, disappointment and sadness you get when things don’t work as planned. This instantly reduces your stress level. When you’re not worrying about what you expect to happen, you are able to remain calm and at peace.

#176

The more you share, the more you have
You cannot out-give the universe. Give all you have to each moment, holding nothing back. When you give, it may not come back to you from where or whom you think it should, but it always does. The energy you put out will always recirculate and find its perfect way back to you.

#177

Give it up and have it all
Give up the need to get, and you can have it all. Give up the need to possess, and the abundance of life is yours to enjoy.

#178

Nothing can bring you happiness but yourself
Happiness is a choice. It doesn’t always come easy, it takes work. When everything is going well, being happy is simple. But when you’re facing challenges and uncertainty, it takes conscious effort not to fall in the ‘victim mode’. Constantly remind yourself that you are the architect of your own happiness.

#179

Be here now
Whenever we’re leaving behind a great chapter of our life, we have a tendency to hang on to it, wishing we could go back. This creates suffering. The past is gone. When we worry about the future, that’s a choice we’re making. The reality is that the only thing within our control is what we’re doing right now. Do your best in the present moment, it’s all that really matters.

#180

Listen with love and peace
‘The most basic and powerful way to connect to another person is to listen. Just listen. Perhaps the most important thing we ever give each other is our attention.’
~Rachel Naomi Remen

#181

Surrender to what is
‘The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it’, says Eckhart Tolle. Similarly, Buddhist wisdom teaches us that all situations are neutral. It’s the label we put on them that makes them positive or negative. Simply being aware of this is powerful. As soon as you catch yourself mentally complaining about what’s in front of you, stop instantly. Replace it with a more empowering thought. When you argue with reality, you never win.
