Intensify your emotions
It’s inevitable that life will hit you with something that feels like a crushing blow. This is a critical moment! It will give you the muscle of life [psychological strength] if you can simply look at it and find a way to use it. Intensify your emotions that you have to find a way to succeed. Now more than ever! Turn something that could have been the most traumatic moment of your life into a launching pad for some of your greatest victories. These are the moments that determine your destiny.

#122

Make small, continuous improvements
Question: How do you eat an elephant? Answer: One bite at a time. This philosophy holds true for achieving your biggest goals. Making small, positive changes is an amazing way to get excited about life and slowly reach the level of success you aspire to. And if you start small, you don’t need a lot of motivation to get started either. The simple act of getting started and doing something will give you the momentum you need, and soon you’ll find yourself in a positive spiral of changes, one building on the other.

#123

Work outside your comfort zone
The number one thing that holds you back is your reluctance to accept an opportunity. Simply because you don’t think you’re ready. You feel uncomfortable and believe you need more knowledge, skill, experience… This kind of thinking stops any personal growth and success. Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities stretch ourselves and our comfort zones. That doesn’t feel totally comfortable at first. We don’t feel ready. If you are looking to make positive changes and new breakthroughs in your life, you will need to embrace these moments of opportunity even though you will never feel ready for them.

#124

Measure and track your progress
Successful people are not only working in their job or business, they are also working on it. They assess their progress regularly. They track themselves against their goals and clearly know what needs to be done to excel and accelerate. You can’t control what you don’t properly measure. Know your numbers! And if you track the wrong things you’ll be completely flying in the dark. Figure out what your number one goal is and then track the things that directly relate to achieving that goal. Identify the most important things for you to keep track of, and then begin tracking them immediately.

#125

Always enjoy life!
Remember that work is not the only facet to your life. In these demanding times it is easy to focus more on the workplace but finding time to play is just as important. Learn to enjoy whatever it is that you do. Regardless of how important or trivial the task may seem. If you run a major world corporation, clean your house or celebrate liberation, take time to enjoy yourself right now. Life is short. Enjoy it to the fullest!

#126

Learn from your mistakes
Remember, every mistake you make is progress. Mistakes teach you important lessons. Every time you make one, you’re one step closer to your goal. The only mistake that can truly hurt you is choosing to do nothing simply because you’re too scared to make a mistake. So don’t doubt yourself! Don’t let your own negativity sabotage you. If you fail -and sometimes you will- at least you fail forward!

#127

Spend time with the right people
Successful people hang out with people who are likeminded, focused and supportive. They socialize with people who create energy. They reach out to connected, influential individuals who are right for their dreams and goals. You are the sum of the people you spend the most time with. If you associate with the right people, you will become far more capable and successful than you ever could have been alone. Find your tribe and work together to make a difference in all of your lives.

#128

Maintain balance in your life
If you ask most people to summarize what they want out of life they’ll shout out a list of things. A lot of people don’t balance their life properly to achieve these things. Typically they’ll achieve one or two of them while completely neglecting the rest. An imbalanced lifestyle holds you back from your full potential. When all your energy is focused in one area [work or social life or family life], it’s extremely easy to lose your balance. You need to balance the various dimensions of your life. Completely neglecting one dimension for another only leads to long-term frustration and stress.

#129

Raise your standards
Raising your standards truly means turning your ‘I should’ into ‘I will‘. Everyone has a list of shoulds: ‘I should spend more time with my kids.’ ‘I should write that business plan.’ ‘I should lose some weight.’ I should, I should, I should. People don’t actually change. They just end up ‘shoulding’ all over themselves. Convert those ‘I shoulds’ into ‘I will‘ and your entire life changes. When you feel that you absolutely must get something done, you will find a way!

#130

Change your limiting beliefs
Your goal is crystal clear. Truly an ‘I will’ for you to achieve. Then you find yourself either failing to act or pulling back. Maybe you’re even sabotaging yourself. There’s one reason: you have inner conflicts. Fears and doubts. Limiting beliefs in the form of fear or doubts. Discover the conflict and realign yourself [if necessary with some help]. When everything inside of you is moving toward what you want without any holdbacks, you move into action on a consistent basis. And it will cause you to tap your fullest potential, creating results beyond your wildest dreams. Yes, you can!

#131

Model strategies that work
Model someone who has already achieved what you want to achieve. If someone is successful, s/he’s got a set of strategies that s/he applies. And those strategies work! You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. You don’t need to reinvent a way to succeed. Learn from others. That’s how you compress decades into days.

#132

Back to basics
Success is not complicated. Everyone has had success of some sort in their lives. When you achieved that success whether you realize it or not, you followed a specific strategy. A series of consistent steps taken on a daily basis. What happens for many of us is that once we achieve success, we start looking for ‘easier’ ways, but what has always worked, has always worked… and always will work. Plan – Do – Check – Act [or Adjust]!

#133

Use the Ultimate Success Formula
Tony Robbins’ Ultimate Success Formula is based on de the ‘Deming’-circle: Plan – Do – Check – Act [or Adjust].
First decide what you want [Plan]. Then take action [Do]! Next: notice what is working and what is not [Check], and finally Act on your findings: change or adjust your approach until you achieve what you want.

#134

Give more than you expect to receive
Ultimately what shapes the meaning of our lives is not what we get, but what we give. If you can make it your goal to each day find a way to add more value to people’s lives than anyone else, then you’ll never have to worry about success. The secret to living is giving. We’re not made to be selfish. We can succeed and achieve, but what we want deep in our souls is to feel like life matters, that we’re givers, not takers. If each day you can sincerely feel like you’ve given something of value to those around you, you’ll experience the ultimate victory of life: a life of meaning and joy!

#135

Keep your promises
We make commitments to others and ourselves all the time. The question is: Do we keep them? When we fail to keep a promise, it communicates to the other person that we don’t value him or her. We have elected to place something else ahead of our commitment. More importantly, we are telling ourselves that we don’t value our own word. Not keeping a promise to yourself is the same as disrespecting yourself. Keeping your promises gives your self-esteem, confidence, and experience of life an enormous boost. So take the promises you made to others and to yourself seriously and keep them!

#136

Keep your mind open
Keep your mind wide open to any possible idea. The one idea that you’re about to reject may be just the thing you need to achieve your goal. Nine out of ten people never achieve their goals because of this simple reason. They are quick to dismiss options that seem uncomfortable. You will never move to the next level if you continue to do what you have always done. So learn to keep your mind wide open to new ideas.

#137

There is more to life
Life is not just a survival trip. Don’t settle for living inside your tiny comfort zone. Life is about living fully. Experiencing abundance in all facets of life. All you need to do is to remain open to whatever experiences life offers you. Say yes to life! You’ll find so many doors of opportunity open to you. Just open your eyes to see them.

#138

Maintain a positive outlook
Successful people concentrate on the positives. They look for the silver lining in every situation. They know that it is their positivity that will take them to greatness. If you want to be successful, you need to have a positive outlook toward life. Life will test you again and again. If you give in to internal negativity, you will never be able to achieve the marks you have targeted.

#139

Identify your resources
Begin to think of
People: do you know who has specialized knowledge? Who do you know that can assist you? Who has someone available in their network that can assist you?
Books: what books on the subject have you read in the past that will help you? What books can you read that will give you resources to move forward?
Seminars and programs: have you attended seminars in the past that gave you resources you can review? Are there seminars that you can attend that will support you now?
Put your resources together. Getting clear on what resources you currently have, and what you still need along the way will improve your chances to succeed immensely.

#140

Start with your ‘Why’
Why is achieving this goal absolutely necessary for you? Everything that we do, we do for emotional reasons. And we justify with logic. Your ‘why’ is directly attached to the emotions that you want to feel in achieving your goal. Being clear on your ‘why’ is what will get you through the hard times. The more compelling your ‘why’, the easier it will be to stay focused when challenges arise. It is often said:  the bigger the ‘why’, the easier the ‘how’!

#141

Focus on what you want
Not on what you don’t want. Always remember to focus on your dreams and goals, rather then the obstacles in your way. It is an universal law that what you focus on will expand. If you make the mistake of focussing on fears, doubts or limitation of your pursuit, these obstacles will expand and cripple your efforts. When you keep your focus on what you want beyond the obstacles you find yourself reaching towards your goals more rapidly with more confidence.

#142

Increase personal awareness
There is someone you need to become to achieve your goal. It’s not about the goal. It’s about who you have to become to achieve the goal. Albert Einstein said, ‘You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it.’ And the ‘you’ who you currently are, will not take the actions that need to be taken to create a new outcome. If the current you would… it would already have been done, right? Personal self-awareness is the key. Who are you now, and who do you need to become to achieve your goal? You have amazing resources inside of you, everything you need, and now is the time to choose who you are going to become.

#143

Create positive affirmations
Condition yourself to succeed. 90% of what we think, say and do is exactly the same each day. Over the years we create repetitive patterns that we constantly run. That patterns create our core beliefs of who we are. The two most powerful words in any language are ‘I AM’. Everything you place after those two words, when said with conviction and certainty, becomes your reality. When you combine these ingredients, your unconscious mind accepts the statement without question. Your unconscious starts directing your outward actions to fulfill what you have just proclaimed. Become aware of the things you say to yourself! Take control of that process by creating a list of affirmations that will support you!

#144

Apply what you learn
The only way to constantly be successful in achieving your goals is to make distinctions along the way. Become aware of what is working and not working. Become aware of why you have been doing things, or just as importantly, why you haven’t been doing them. Becoming aware of what you do, and why you do it. Being aware of your own personal recipe for success you can repeat it and improve it.

#145

Take authentic action
The key distinction that needs to be made is that you are not just taking action for the sake of taking action, but that you are taking ‘authentic and intelligent’ action. When it is time to take action, many people begin getting ‘busy’. They’re ready to get started, but for some reason they start doing all the little things that really don’t help them make any progress. Change can be scary. And to achieve your outcome, you are going to have to change many things. You will need to change your habits, your focus, your routines and your self. Don’t sabotage your success by getting busy but take authentic action.

#146

Overcome anxiety
One of the greatest challenges that people face when making changes in their lives is overcoming anxiety. What stops most people from ever reaching their goal… is themselves. It’s not circumstances. It’s not lack of opportunity. It’s the fact that they allow their fears to rob them of what they desire. Pay attention to your fears. They are a guide. Fear is an internal signal that tells you that you may need to learn something. Fear will also alert you to beliefs you may have about yourself that are limiting you. A key to overcoming anxiety is to understand that you are never going to get rid of fear. When you have fear and want to take flight, the way to overcome this anxiety is to take action!

#147

Identify your biggest weakness
Success in any shape or form comes down to knowing what is your biggest strength. And what is your biggest weakness? Many people simply ignore their weaknesses. When an area of weakness shows up, they either try to force their way through it, or they will procrastinate on taking any action. In doing so, they sabotage any progress they have been making. If you identify your biggest weakness, you have three options to choose from ignore it, work on the weakness to improve it or leverage those things to someone who has that strength. Successful people not only know their strengths, they know their weaknesses and what they need to do with them.

#148

Shift to be – do – have
Have you ever noticed that most people live with a do-have-be perspective of life? Meaning that they believe that if they do the right things, they will have what they desire and only then will they be the person who deserves those things. What would happen if you shifted the paradigm to be-do-have? Act as if your goal has already been achieved! This one simple shift could change everything in your life! Change the process… Be the person who you would be if you already had achieved your goal, then you will do the things that a successful person would do, which will allow you to have exactly what you want.

#149

Unlearn your obedient mindset
Most children learn it’s best to keep a low profile at school. They want to blend into the scenery and be like everyone else. If they do this and study well they end up with qualifications and a good job. But when do they learn initiative, risk taking, taking responsibility? You’ve got unlearn this obedient mindset before you can achieve success. If you read the biographies of successful people they were often misfits at school, but they were already editing the school magazine or running the tuck shop.

#150

Swap little comforts for… success!
Most people give up success for small comforts and rewards. They watch TV, sleep-in, go out frequently. They put things off until tomorrow. Things pass them by. Successful people also enjoy their comforts, but they take them when they’ve become successful. They take their rewards in a terrace cafe in Monaco. Luckily there is a trick where you can have some comforts now. Set some mini goals and reward yourself when you achieve them.

#151

Create sustainability
Create sustainability by ingraining new behaviors and new habits that support you. What new patterns and habits must you develop? Create sustainability by being very aware of what has worked for you, and looking at what you can continue to integrate as new habits and patterns.
